Mr Stephen Wood is a highly experienced ENT, Head and Neck and Thyroid Surgeon with a rich background in medical education and research. He completed his medical training at the University of Bristol in 1987 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1992, after which he specialised in ENT surgery.

Throughout his career, Mr Wood has undertaken various fellowships in the UK, Canada and the USA. He was awarded a national research prize for his study into the genetics of sinus disease during his time as a Clinical Research Fellow at the University of Bristol. Mr Wood has presented his research at a number of international conferences in Europe and America.

In his current NHS practice, Mr Wood has core responsibilities in general ENT clinics, a children’s ENT clinic and a neck lump clinic. He is also a core member of the thyroid and head and neck cancer teams and the Lead for Head & Neck Surgery for his hospital trust. Additionally, he is the Lead for Clinical Governance and Quality Assurance for ENT at Wexham Park Hospital and the Tutor for ENT in his department. Mr Wood is also the founder and faculty member of the Sinus Surgery Course for trainee surgeons in Bristol.
